Jason Pramas, a photojournalist and artist, is executive director of the Boston Institute for Nonprofit Journalism and editor-in-chief of its independent statewide magazine HorizonMass. His column Apparent Horizon is recipient of 2018 and 2019 Association of Alternative Newsmedia Political Column Awards. Pramas holds an MFA in visual arts from the Art Institute of Boston and a BA in community media and technology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston.
